I like it.. But to much bowtie work done to it. Engine bay looks terrible! God only knows whats hiding under that paint.

But its got 340 heads!

Gas mileage would make up for lack of the wow factor. Have a buddy on the blumo board who always gives me a little grief over my small block, compared to his 440. Guess who had the bigger laugh when we traveled to chicago together?

yet here I am getting a 440 together for my car... :dontknow:

I can't imagine what it would be like driving my car around with a 318 in it. I bet it would get real interesting trying to merge into rush hour traffic.....need that bottom end "Omph" to get rolling and come now, one does not drive a c body car for the gas mileage. That's for Honda's, Toy's, Nissans, blah, blah

So they just slapped 340 heads on a stock 318? Wonder what combustion chamber size differences there are. Would it not actually be detrimental to performance unless you also installed some higher CR pistons?

Better then a /6.... :poke:
Barely......
You guys kill me sometimes.

I seem to recall that the 340/360 are nearly the same size, both J I think. There are X heads that are a bit different, but I doubt they used those. Smog 360 heads on a smog 318 makes for cr in the 7s, but even in this case I'm sure the cr dropped.
