Since this was a direct competitor for the C bodies I thought I would ask what you all think of it. Not condition or possibly buying it but from a stylistic perspective.
It has a big 390 ci engine and I am sure is a fine car. Has a fancy rear window treatment ala mopar but something misses the mark in my eyes when looking at it. Is it the pics themselves or the car's design? Maybe it's me. What do you guys think?

I always liked the late 60s Ford. I prefer the 67 Galaxie however. Thus 69 is not on my favorite Fords list.
Still a cool car I'd like to see on the road.

i like the 1967-73's. had several 428/429 Interceptors - no civi cars. still liked the styling. this car is fine by me. thanks for posting it.

Oh I don't hate it at all. To me it just doesn't look totally coordinated, a bit awkward. Nice car though.

the wide whites were never an OE offering .. not my choice. the "cockpit' dash, with console and buckets would have been how I ordered this car in 1969

Concur. I really like Galaxies, Fairlanes, and Torino’s. In fact I would probably be a Ford guy if there were no Mopars.

I confess that I have a soft spot for big Fords, especially LTDs 67-72.

That car has a pleasant shape. It looks sleek and looks nice as a 2 door. Nice cruiser.

Just like an Impala or Caprice, a well optioned Galaxie or LTD would pique my interest.
Interestingly it’s the same vintage as our C bodies that I like.

They look way better with a vinyl top. Not all of them had side trim. Look at the picture below, the stripe was on the XL GT and it looked good. See the chrome hash marks on the front fender?

The black car above is a Galaxie 500. The 69 taillights are a miss.
The 1969 galaxie line has the radio antenna on the drivers side front fender & the ignition key on the left side of the dash, very odd.

I owned a 1970 they had better taillights. They key went to the column and the antenna on the right where it belongs. 390 is a nice engine in them.

‘67s are a favorite here also. My buddies Dad always leased cars as a business expense. When time came for his new ‘67 model he went for a Galaxy 500 fastback over the LTD simply due to the fact all the dealers’s LTDs had 352s and the Galaxy had a 390. Good choice! Looking back now he was probably 60 then and always had decent taste in cars through the sixties. Any number of his cars would be nice to have now.

Really like the '70's better, check out 0:57 in the video. I'd have picked the buckets and console, AM/FM and the factory optional wheels though. And the 429 over the FE engines.
