Thought I might start a thread with my progress so I can keep track of it. I welcome any and all advice. The first set of photos are from the add where I bought.

Nice looking car to build from. Floor pans and interior need attention, as expected. Plus the convertible top mechanism (which can be upgraded to modern hydraulic fluid components). I agree, it will be great when done!

50-50 bench seat seems to be unusual, but was standard in Fury III convertibles that model year (www.hamtramck-historical.com "Library" Color and Trim Guide).

Keep us posted on your progress!

The floor pans are actually solid as the day they were installed. Only real rust issue is in the trunk where the previous owner didn’t remove the carpet. The whole car was just filthy. Convertible top bows were mostly destroyed when the tree fell on it. Tree knocked out the windshield, put a large dent in the side (that the previous owner did a HORRIBLE job trying to repair), and bent all but the front bow for the top. I recently discovered that the front seats came out of a mid-70s New Yorker. I have recently acquired a set of bucket seats in good shape I’m planning to put in it over the winter. Definitely needs some work, but can be driven and enjoyed while I do the work.

Very grateful for this community and the advice and support. I’ll be posting pictures of the restoration along the way.

Keep posting those photos! I want to watch your progress. BTW...where in the world did you find a windshield for a 69 convertible? I also see that you have the rare passenger side mirror. Does the car run?
