it was a cheap entry level though if you are a talented mechanic and know how to fix electrical issues

Julian could have restored this one in a week and a half.

Hello everyone, here is a new member from Finland!
Here's a couple of pictures of my car, " The Old War Horse ", -66 300 whit 440 / 727 , I have owned it for something 30 years. And now I can tell the secret....Yes, this frog really went to Europe as the big brother of this car!

Yes I know, there is a lot to be done, but, I still like that "Ferry".
...and I promise to give her a good home!

Regards from Finland to all,
Mika

The Vinyl interior has Commercial bus line written all over it, reversing this in genuine leather would be already over my head plus the extensive bodywork on the Dutchman Panel and quarters alone. I would have passed as well.
All the best to the resto. Keep us posted when it arrives, I'm eager to see if it is a Diamond in the rough despite my first Impression.

Hi Pepe,

I don't know the details on this one but have some experience on Imperials.
They are usally loaded and full of option like power seats, power windows etcetc.
If they sat for a long time, exspecially in warm hot climate like this one most of these options don't work anymore. And it can be a pain in the but including working under the dash
Carsten

I am sure it will be on a boat to Europe soon
Sure it is. It is already at the harbour.
This 69 Imperial for sale was only some 20 miles away from me, and even I don't know who snagged it this time! I wish them luck, as they will need it and a lot of patience and $$$ or euros..............................

Thank You ;)

This car is very nice easy resto worth 5400

There is no such thing as an"easy" restoration.

There are "easy" repairs, and "straight forward" restorations.

But no restoration is easy. Especially financially. :)

If it's "easy", then you aren't restoring it correctly.

Correct. I'm not gonna restore it, I'm gonna repair it and use as daily driver during summer time. In the end it was not worth of 5400 usd, but like Carsten wrote in other topic, there is always extra costs when shipping car to Europe. Luckily USD is like 20% weaker than Euro - it helps a little bit.

There is rust issue in ds lower side. Easy fix though - repairing vise. Dutchman panel is more tricky, but I can do it as well. Steve wondered if there is something wrong in 1/4 panel as well. No, there is not - only reflections. Spider nets are all over the car - it has been without use last 8 years.

Nice documentation followig the car btw.

I have done also some restorations. For example there has been 3 cars hanging from the rotisserie in my garage during last ten years. This one I bought from L.A and paid 1200 usd. Got some extra costs when shipping it to Europe. Got some comments about being stupid, because I paid more costs than the car value in L.A. But, check out this body condition. I saved BIG money and countless of hours on bodywork (it needed two patches) and car is still made of real Mama Mopar Steel, not AMD baby.

If this was a 70 or a different color I'd have to drive down and look at it.

Those of you with the guy's contact info... maybe you could get him to take down the Christmas lights? We're well into April and he can't use -10 temps as an excuse.
