This might have the shortest fender tag I've ever seen, but looks like a clean example in pretty good shape.

it has way more options than they are on the tag.

I see AC, PS, PB in example.

It is the same seller who just sold the 70 Polara CV in in silver

I don't think so^^^. Look at the tag fasteners - notice, this is a riveted tag, versus a tag with Phillips-head screws. This DID occur in certain plants over a period of years, but it is not very common. I've owned two cars that I remember that had rivets and not screws. Plus, you would see evidence of two tags, which I do not see. There is a "CTD" and an "EN2" stamped on a second tag, as well. This tag shows:

E63 = 383 D32 = Automatic T3 - Lt Tan seats C04 = December 4, 1968 build date 263589 = SO number
Y3 = Yellow Gold H4T = High trim code, vinyl split bench w/center armrest, Saddle Tan

Shows as one of 1,698 '69 Monaco 2-seat wagons, though. Granted, this has air, fender-mounted t/signals, full wheel covers, power tailgate window, woodgrain sides, roof rack, front bumper guards, and more. Interesting, indeed!

Pat is correct.
Iif it would be a two tag car (due to options) it would have "ctd" stamped on it

Carsten

Most of the Cs I have had all had riveted tags, most were built in Belvidere, one in Newark.

I thought the EN1 and EN2 were for production line designations not tag quantity designation.

And to add to the debunking of the two tag thought ..... that being the primary tag it would be full with the second tag being minimal.

They didn't include many options on the 69 C body tags, that changed in 1970.

I knew about the END but forgot about the CNT
Those are screws with lots of paint in them, same with the blue one above.

Yep screws with paint. Nice wagon though.

Wow, what cool car. Looks to be in pretty good condition overall. I would like to check out the rust repairs he mentions. This is a real tme machine car though.

One question: the pic of the engine below shows the air cleaner with a bunch of holes instead of a snorkel. I've never seen that before. I assume it is original though?
