If so you can kiss a another C Body goodbye when the buyer goes looking for a 383.

The days of cheap, running C body donor cars are coming to an end these days. It's becoming less expensive to locate and buy a engine then a whole car. Especially a 4 sp car.
But this is what it has come down to if you want a cheap B body. Not so cheap when restored.

I remember cars like this, and some houses like this, when I lived 4 years in Catonsville MD (62-66) and would hike the State Forest. These are the kind of objects where we would throw rocks at to either break windows or hear the clank. This Roadrunner is just like all those that were called junk. Now it is called rough...

no fender tag/broadcastsheet won't help.
You can't document the options.

It would get restored if it would be an M-code or J-code 69 RR but not being one of 80k H-code 383 Runners

So....... ? What's your point ....? It's a 4 speed Road Runner from the most desireable year. Every piece of sheet metal is reproduced for it. I think it's priced about right.
What do you mean, it's not a '68.:poke:

My point is that is just about the most clapped out piece of **** RoadRunner I've ever seen for $2,700. You're right that just about every bit of sheet metal is reproduced for that car - and you would have to buy every single piece of it. If somebody wants to build a kit car, then that's their prerogative.
OH. And don't forget a new frame! :poke:

If you really wanted a road runner it could be done, as was said above they make the metal. I would go the modern Hemi route with a 6-speed.

What about these?

(2) 1969 Plymouth Roadrunners

I looked at the orange one last year. The guy was nice but a wee bit high on price.

What are they worth after a professional restoration? Around 70K for a hardtop? Would one end up in the whole, break even or make some money since these are usually bought to restore and flip.

A pro restoration to #1-2 would cost more than the value here. A sheet metal and body guy with his own shop could do well with it.

I am more in the camp that someone will get this one and try to take it on somehow but ... DAMN!

some pics for posterity ..so we can argue its merits years from now :)

Misssing fender tag and title? A re-body clone is probably already wearing the VIN. That said, I'm sure there are $2700 worth of parts there, but good luck bringing this one back to life on the road.
