I've reached the point that I would like to figure this system out and get my signals working properly. When all electrical connections are plugged in, I have bright illumination in both tail lights. With ignition on, signaling left kills illumination in the left tail light assembly. Opposite is true for signaling right. With ignition off, the only way to get the tail lights to kill the bright illumination is to unplug wires from the stop light relay. The stop light relay clicks when I accuate the turn signal in either direction. I would like to utilize this original system and am ready to replace what is necessary. I just don't want to spend a bunch of money on parts only to not fix the issue.

I remember there being a thread about someone fixing their sequential taillights and showed how the system worked...little motor that drives cams that flick the individual lights on/off....pretty cool mechanical set up.

As I understand and I maybe wrong, the red box on my system replaces the troublesome mini camshaft/ breaker point setup.

Or you could ditch all that neato mechanical stuff and convert it with the newer mustang electronics. I know, I know, you shouldn't ever put ford parts in a Mopar. I think this is an excusable exception. If you can't get the original working, or find parts.

I was contacted by Marty Mopar who had a complete sequential system with the original style electric motor and relays. In our contacts he said the system had not been tested to work, but I took a chance and bought it anyway. Well I'm glad to report everything worked fine. I have working sequential turn signals and didn't spend a ton of money either. Thanks Marty Mopar!

I've said it before, this is the true value of this site!
