Very solid, straight complete running project car. Rare, less than 1100 made. Rust free body and floor pans with minor rust on the trunk floor. Original blue plate California car. There are a number of helpful extra pics of your solid 300 in this thread and also in the current CL ad. We know that CM23T0C136542's fender tag is missing from the radiator support, but its build sheet is here, so all is well -- GLWS!

PS: In partly related matters, do you happen to have a pic that you could share of the tag for this 300 'vert that you had looked at back in 2012? I am asking for the registry of course...

Been fixin a couple of things on the 300. I replaced the engine wiring harness with the one off of the parts car so now it charges the battery. I also diagnosed the headlight doors not opening. Motor is good so it must be the relay. I have an NOS one that I will install as soon as I get the ambition to hang my tired old body upside down under the dash. Or is it easier to pull the instrument cluster out and access it through there? Anyone have experience doing this?

After having recently put my dash together, the last thing I want to do is try to pull the instrument cluster out. I'm not even sure the relay would be reachable from up there. I would drop the column, (remove the two threaded rods as well) then remove four screws near the windshield. The whole dash will swing down and give easy access. You still have to remove the vent tube if you have AC, but the relay is there on the far left side of the dash. Dealing with just the cluster is a PIA IMHO.

Success! Headlight doors open and close as they should. Found a bad wire going to the bulkhead.
