1970 6bbl question

Just cause it's Friday and I'm bored....

Dan posted the 1st pic on another forum saying it's a rare Fury only part. Question is, what is it? Is it the decal from the hood in the 2nd pic?

I don't think the 440 6BBL decal mystery has ever been solved....

I don't think that's a "part." It looks like he cut the hood out where the 440 6BBL decal was.

I don't think it's been determined if all 440 6BBL Furys got that decal or not. Any car I've seen restored doesn't have it.

That same decal was on the back of my SFGT around the trunk lock.

Mine was not a 6bbl car, but was changed from a 4bbl back in the 70's when it was owned by a Chrysler service rep. I always assumed it was a stock decal that was added.

same sticker as in the hood pic.. fury only part.. mine was underhood..i carefully razor bladed it off.. must have came in the glove box to be added by owner or dealer.. which is why some don't have them i suspect..

Pretty cool. As you said, maybe it was not applied and the owner or dealer could put it on. Too bad no one knows for sure.
