I'm pretty sure Canuk bucks. Mikes son was getting anxious....needed to sell the cars to settle the estate. The red one did look a little a crusty underneath. Some of Y'all might have purchased parts from Mike on Ebay. He specialized on rebuilding Mopar power window and seat switches as well as selling related parts...power window motors etc. He was a good guy...loved his C bodys even his daily driver was a ratty 69 Newport 2dr.
i wondered about that. about the time i hired the inspector, he hadn't put i on Ebay and it looked kind of crusty to me too, but he had the shot on Ebay of underneath, and seemed pretty good, unless it wasn't showing the worst parts. oh well, i guess it's in the past, don't mean to waste precious space here

just for completeness, here were the other photos my "overpriced" inspector sent me.....kind of hard to tell from these photos i suppose

Glad to see someone here ended up getting it. Italy's a long haul from Edmonton. We have watched this car for many months here knowing the seller was a bit "eccentric" as Dale says so hopefuly you had someone look it over for you

Try to keep up:poke:. It's not the Edmonton car (69), it's the 70 in Ontario that Dale had inspected.

The guy is an oddball all right, the last thing I need is another car yet I can't help but check kijiji on a regular basis. You know, just in case. I think it's been about a year now that it's been for sale, From 16,900-27,900$ He reposts the car weekly with the same description and photos. When I called him on your behalf and he wouldn't work with me, I asked him to add a photo of the tag to the add. That hasn't happened.

Sorry to be nosy, I just re-read your post and got from it- you're in Italy, bought a car from Canada and are shipping it to the U.S.A? Are you having work done on it or is it easier or cheaper to import twice? Again apologies for prying, just curious. One of my cars is a 70 Newport convertible White with black interior, originally 383, now non TNT 440 with TNT exhaust manifolds and air cleaner. Supposedly rebuilt to TNT spec. 20,000 miles ago 20 years ago.

I have a good friend in Huntington Beach who works on cars...so I am sending the car to him for tune up and see what is wrong with the car. I will be in the US in january, so will have a cra to drive. I come often to the States, so it's good for me to have a running and driving classic over there. Besides, i am into the 300 club...so can take part to their meets. And driving a 300 is more fun than driving a rental junk...

guilty as charged. I know, I'm all over the place. Sorry, little bit of my OCD/C body passion I guess. How's that for an excuse? oh well, Gary and I had a good time cruising the back country roads of NC this weekend in the convertibles. and caught a few car shows too, though not many cars and not many mopars of those cars. Gary got his mean green 71 Sport Fury to one, got a lot of attention !! Great day for it though....
