Apart from the lost parts, the running Hurst was also in worse condition than what I expected.
she seems very clean !!
But when it arrived, it looked a bit different.. Overall it was very rusty, and a lot of it was in need of welding, in "inaccessible areas", (and a lot more welding than I would ever be able to do.)
(Will post all pic's some sunny day)
I had talked to a budy-guy about doing the rear quarters, (as the seller pointed out would need repaired), but when he saw the car irl, he ran away screaming!

hum, yes it has rust but nothing compared to mine
after all it depends on the price you paid.
On the way home, it caught fire.. (of course in a gas station). Some Albanian immigrants got some free action, when the huge monster suddenly ROARED towards them, away from the pumps with the hood wide open... spewing flames :-D But I got the flames extinguished with a bucket of windshield water, and made it home.
It also had all sorts of mechanical problems from sitting, mixed with rust issues. I wore out a few wire-brushes, and got it running decently without major cost. It still had lots of TNT power, and even thought my 69 300 had "a nice selection of sporty engine parts" installed, it was impressively fast.
it is weird, mine caught fire too on the highway!
But it wasn't very important : a bunch of leaves were on the exhaust and caught fire..
i ran 700 km with it after it leave the container. the nad thing is that there was minimum oil in the rear axle but only a bearing was dead. we had luck.
During the trip everything that was non working starts to work during the trip.. so we were lucky again.
If you have some pares parts you want to sell...
i will need 2 things :
- 1 non bent deck lid
- some lowerbody trim.
