NOT MINE 1970 chrysler 300 H on BaT

A friend of mine was bidding on it but gave up when it hit 35k. He then followed it to the end and said that every time a bid was topped, the clock was reset ahead another 2 minutes which happened several times. No wonder the price went where it did.

Trevor,

You've mentioned your database from time to time, and the December car, but I have never seen it. Have you posted it here or elsewhere, and do you have photos of FTs and BSs to verify your database? Does the December car show 125?

I would certainly like to see your info!

I have:
204124 April
207568 April
220584 May
226179 May
226726 My car, but the sticker was missing. I did a January 70 repro, because the 125 is what ECS requires for a repro, even though we can assume I'm a May car.
230908 This BaT car, June.

I regret all the other Hursts that I DIDN'T take tag and sticker photos of the past 5 years, possibly as many as 8 "getaways" before I realized the 125 conumdrum.
X2 on keen interest in @Fury Pursuit 's database.

That's the way BAT does all auctions. The clock resets to 2 minutes at the end to prevent snipping.

No wonder the price went where it did.

It takes two determined and funded bidders to get the price moving upward at any auction, but yes, the clock reset does allow those to bidders a chance to consider upping their bid, vs. the sudden-death sniping that we all have done on eBay from time to time.

I’m the one who ended up with that car. I’m quite pumped about it, since I’m a big Hurst guy. I have owned 4 Hurst/Oldsmobiles and currently own a Hurst Challenger. I also knew Doc Watson and know Linda Vaughn. I don’t have the car yet, still working on transport.

Congratulations Jon on getting what you want! I think, considering the availability of well sorted 300/H’s, which there are few, you have a really good car, with a well known history, and low ownership, which has value I believe.

Let me know if I can be of assistance to you, I’m just a few miles away from your Hurst!

I’m a Hurst nerd…so welcome aboard!

-Trev
