Thank you for posting about CL43N0C115714. That's an early-build, and likely rare N-code, 1970. Surprise surprise, the 383-4 heart has already been ripped out of the patient.

So both my 71's are V5X's.
This 70 newport does not have v5x. But it does have a stainless trim above where the typical v5 option attach's.
What is the difference between the 70 and 71.
Why does this 70 not have any V__ code to signify the stainless strip?
Is the stainless strip the standard on the newports in 70?

It's a Newport Custom, which is the only car that had the wide upper trim. It was standard, so no special code needed. The regular '70 Newport had different, one year only wheel opening mouldings and I think it had rocker mouldings too.

Dang, if that was closer..... he'll it's worth that just for all the trim/chrome. I've got a 70 Newport custom and the Customs are rarely seen, my observation. Mine was high optioned- had just about everything you could get on it.

that's only a days drive for you. Illinois to pennsylvania. Go get it!

OH, My mistake. I read that totally wrong. That is indeed out in the middle of no where!
