Must have been the other Newport Cordoba owner. . .

That was a 73 Dodge VIP custom Argument you're talking about. I was innocently in the middle of it by using the word "remnants".

Ah, yes. "Remnants" always pushes the wrong buttons. Seen it too many times.
Just a horrible , ugly word.
Best not to use it in mixed company .

Everbody should have expected it wouldn't last a day.
In three weeks, $17,995.00.
You snooze, you lose.

assuming it went for $6500 or less, somebody got a darn good deal ..if it was a true "5 by 5" car.

if it does reappear as a "opportunity to pay more", i couldnt chase it to 18k, or wherever, but id go into 5 digits if it were a must have for me.

maybe though its in the hands of a lifetime owner and we'll never see it again for sale :)

....painted scoops under the headlight buckets!! all points to Cordoba! pity he didn't shoot the front shot a fraction to the left!! :BangHead:

That car must be a repaint since it really isn't the right color. Nice car other wise though it seems.

? ? ?
How can you tell, Steve.
I have seen a couple of those cars in the distant past, and the color should be brighter, less like a tan and more like a gold. The color in the inside of the door is correct as well as the decklid underside, but I don't think it really matches the exterior as well as it should. I could be wrong though.

Another ? ? ?
Scoops?

Am I looking at the same car as you two guys?

That threw me too for a minute, but he means the inner grill opening surrounds should be the gold color to match the rest of the exterior. Newports, 300s, New Yorkers have silver inner surrounds whereas the 300 Hurst models have white ones, for example.

She should arrive next week in Long Beach. ;)
