assuming it went for $6500 or less, somebody got a darn good deal ..if it was a true "5 by 5" car.

if it does reappear as a "opportunity to pay more", i couldnt chase it to 18k, or wherever, but id go into 5 digits if it were a must have for me.

maybe though its in the hands of a lifetime owner and we'll never see it again for sale

I have seen a couple of those cars in the distant past, and the color should be brighter, less like a tan and more like a gold. The color in the inside of the door is correct as well as the decklid underside, but I don't think it really matches the exterior as well as it should. I could be wrong though.

That threw me too for a minute, but he means the inner grill opening surrounds should be the gold color to match the rest of the exterior. Newports, 300s, New Yorkers have silver inner surrounds whereas the 300 Hurst models have white ones, for example.

There used to be a guy with a '73 Charger that came to a local cruise night. He had two of those Cordoba emblems on his car. They probably went home in a lunchbox from the Jefferson plant.

Piot lives in Long Beach so that's probably where it's staying but most cars going over seas leave from there.
