This is a 1970 CORD. These are fairly rare. This one is a Warrior which was the shorter wheel base of the two. Most of the Warrior's has a ford 302. This one has a 440 Chy. HP engine with quite a bit of work done to it. It is really a thumper engine. With the rough idle it sounds mean and it is.. These were not a kit car, They were made in a factory and titled as Cord. Car is 727 automatic, ford 9 inch rear end. It has power steering, power brakes and ac.
These were built to look like a 1937 Cord.

Below information is from the samco cord website.

Specifically, the Cord Warrior and Royale models built in Tulsa and later in Mannford, Oklahoma. From 1968 to 1970, over 400 Cord SAMCO's were manufactured. The majority of these cars are still in existence today. Now, 40 years later, owners, and enthusiasts are restoring, rebuilding and still maintaining their cars.

Thats different. Would like to have see some underhood pics with the rest of those pictures.

I saw one of these at the Woodward Dream Cruise this year. I think it was a mid '70s example built on a Ford chassis but titled as a Cord. Neat car this one.

Yeah, it is. Always liked the cord front end design...sans those huge "aftermarket" fog lamps.

I'm going to guess hide away headlights and here's what the 440 looks like in there.

yes, the car has hideaways like the original Cords do. I like it, very classy timeless look.

I like it.......and I wonder if it is priced too high or too low. Ya don't see these often so it's tough to gauge.

Too unique. Can't take that even to Walgreens without looking like the town eccentric.
At least when you go to sell it you can always include:
"Got thumbs-up everywhere it went".

Just can't capture the true spirit of the original with these recreations on then current frames/axles.

Those were built in Tulsa by Glenn Pray, in 1970. Neat cars. I know of one in Dallas, Texas that is driven quite a bit. It's pale yellow with a tan leather interior - very nice!

Does not the placement of the gas and brake pedals look too much to the outside of the car? With four different and dirty wheels, no motor or seat pictures etc.....$8000 sounds like a number to motovate me. The price guide was only one number $20k and that was not for a car that looks shabby like this one does.
