The car is very solid, here is what she needs AFAICT. With a bit of luck, she could be ready in time for the 4th Midwest show that

--> mechanicals: alignment, four new shocks, fix the aftermarket cruise control, get the fuel gauge to be accurate, replace several bulbs;
--> cosmetics: correct steering wheel, correct mirrors, correct wheels, correct-color carpet, re-chromed bumpers, and re-upholstered seats.
To solve the mystery of the radio, here are two photos that the seller's brother sent to me.

@saforwardlook were right of course, the dash pad was the tell-tale (even without seeing the actual 8-track) that the radio was not original. Here is the radio currently in the dash and also a photo of the spare parts that come with the car, including the "similiwood" cover plate that would have been with the original (R11 or R13) radio:
