Here's a tip for anyone cleaning bolts and other small parts with a wire wheel, don't do it unless they are severely rusted as many bolts, nut, clips, and brackets come with some kind of plating whether it be cadmium, anodizing, or whatever that black matte finish is called. You will remove this coating by wire wheeling the items and further promote rusting, if your bolts & nuts just need to be de-greased cleaned or paint removed put them in some 'Carb Dip', you know the pail of nasty lye based stuff, that'll clean any crud and paint off them without damaging the coating and save you a lot of time with the wire wheel (which sucks).
