FWIW, that VT looks like it has deteriorated a lot in the last year since the car's ebay listing.
Although the torn corner looks like it might've been done for inspection. But that could've been done more discretely?

I think it's safe to say, within a few short years, many of us will regret not grabbing it for the $5000 no-reserve bid.

Given it has the H53 Autotemp1 option, that alone probably affects the seller's ability to move it at any price. If it really was a 1971 model then it would not.

That wouldn't have stopped me at the $5000 NR ebay auction (if I had been a contender) - I can't tell you the last time I used either heat in my old cars, and none of them have AC.
I also doubt many folks outside this website are aware that it is difficult to fix?
