The Trucker is charging me $800 to haul the car to Athol Idaho and than i have to drive down to Athol and pick the car up it will cost me another $1500 including fuel cost and lost of income I have to take 2 days off work and you need know a custom broker for the export paperwork is another $220 because you can’t do it your self anymore you have to use a broker and 5% gst ad the Canadian Border takes me up to $2770 on top of the $5000
Plus new tires Brakes and regular maintenance maybe another $1000 on top plus the out of country inspection is about $300 and I paid SMS $1200
for the seat fabric and carpet and on top maybe around $1500 for my upholstery guy.
That takes me up to $11770 already if everything goes smoothly what I hope.
It cost me about $2000 to ship a car to Germany

It does add up,for sure.I didn't factor in lost income as I brought back both ny cars while on vacation time.Do you get sick days at work? You could say you had Mopar fever and had to go get treatment.

Not sure how the fee breakdown works on your $220 for the customs broker but the one I used charges $150 to obtain the ITN number (that only they can do) and $75 to file the 72 hours notice with US customs.I filed the 72 hour notice myself which is pretty much the same as it was before, only difference is including the ITN number as well. That might be a way to save a few bucks out of the deal,I can give you more info if you want.

How much do they charge in Alberta for an out of province inspection? And how comprehensive is it? Reason I ask is I just bought a place there and will be registering a couple of my cars there to use when I'm out there.

I got my ITN # but since last year you have to use a broker i use Cole international as Broker and they charge $220 and no i don’t have sick days I’m hourly with my company.
Is around $300 for the inspection if you know the right person otherwise you pretty much paying out of your jingjang because they pick everything a part

Is it certain border crossings that require a broker? I brought back a car from South Dakota through Eureka Montana and gave US Customs (or DHS I guess they're called now) the 72 hours notice with the ITN I got from the broker I used,Pacific Customs Brokers here in BC.I used email to do the filing at the border and the US DHS office in Whitlash MT apparently handles the vehicle exports for all of MT and ID and they didn't require a broker for the 72 hour notice.

$300...Ouch.It's around $125 here in BC but they do pick apart everything as well so I'll expect the same treatment there.

Congratulations! Wow, that's 1970 Fury perfection in my book. Gorgeous inside and out. Great color scheme. No vinyl roof. Nice work.
