Judging from the trunk photo, it appears to have been a green car.

And a 1970 Sport Fury does not have a fake wood applique on the dash pad. The 1971 model did, however. Yes, I know the indentation is there, but the applique was not applied.

I'm skeptical about it being green previously. If you look at the interior picture, there is a green colour on the right side of the dash as well, similar in location to the trunk picture. I suspect the green is a reflection of the cedar hedge he is parked next to.

I don't think the color has been changed. The pinch flange below the rocker molding is a good indicator, looks original here. The firewall also looks like it has not been tampered with, black there also.

I think your looking at a darn nice car in a desireable color and option combo.

Written in French in the sales ad. "Tout est d'origine sauf la couleur intérieur et extérieur."
Translated with the Google translator: "Everything is original except the interior and exterior color"

No matter if it is the original color or interior or not, this is a nice looking car.

We really need to see the code tag.

My 70 vert does. Was that only for sport fury's? I was under the impression early 70's used the 69 dash and the later ones got the faux wood. Please educate me on this

Here's a pic of a 70 Sport Fury showing the faux wood grain inlay. The Admiral, a 69 Custom Suburban, has a badly cracked dash pad, and so I located and bought a complete dash from a 70 SF. It also has the wood grain inlay.
Perhaps there early and late production versions of the dash......?

I have also procured a "custom suburban" dash scrip. So the Admiral will end up with a custom surburban wood grain inlay dash pad...... 1 of 1 ya think....

I have had two 1970 Sport Furys, one a GT and the other a Sport Fury Brougham 2 door (with Autotemp no less - the only 1970 Plymouth I ever saw with that option!), and neither had the wood applique (and if one should have I thought it would have been the upscale Brougham - but it didn't). And because it always seemed something was missing given the indentation in the pad, I have looked to see if any FurysI ran across might have one, but I never saw one until the 71 models. I wonder if people assumed they were missing and added them from some 71 pads from cars in junkyards. I checked the parts manual for 1970 in the illustration section where they call out the various sections for finding specific interior part numbers. None of the illustrations called for an applique there, including Custom Suburban and Sport Fury or Fury III, except one illustration for the Fury II had an arrow at the indentation in the pad saying "insert" but the section it referenced for the actual part number didn't list one and the illustration doesn't show one present despite the arrow to that spot. So I am skeptical it was available in 1970, but it could have been a late part in production and so maybe some late build cars did have it. May be hard to really know unless someone has for sure an original car with it.

Great looking car!

If you don't buy it, let me know... Or, just buy it and if it's too much work, I'll fly into your place and drive it to Finland! LOL

My convertible was built 12/10/69 and has been in the family since 74. Would that have been a later 70 build?

Please, please, please delete the pictures if you are interested. It is far too easy to do a reverse search and find the ad through a picture. Post them again later if you buy or decide not to buy the car.
