Nice car, but not the roof line I'd want.

I dont like that roof line, most do not. The pictures dont bother me, this could be a good find
Hard to see the roofline fully in the pics.. curious, what roofline is generally preferred? I thought there was only one.

So, if the body is solid, with a great interior but the car needs a coil, it isn't worth it?
So you would pay $12000-$14000 for a plain Sport Fury that has been sitting 30 years, is covered with dust, not running, and has flat tires? I thought for a 383 Sport Fury to command such a price, it needed to be cleaned up, great paint and interior, and in excellent running condition. For the insane B-body market, I could see it, but I didn't think our C-body market had gone that crazy yet.

IF it had been running last week and maybe only needed a coil, but I shudder to think of what 30 years of non-use is going to bring - to the engine, and the whole car.

I like the 70-71 SFs enough that I could live with the roofline due to buckets and console - but IMHO that's 4k car based on what can be seen in the poor pics. We don't know what the minor rust is, either. And dry storage means zilch if it got wet and rusty under the VT during its first 10-15 years of life.

Just for comparison sake,I bought this car late last year for 12.900 USD and it's rust free, has nice original paint, and it's running and driving with about the same mileage on the clock.

I think both color combo's have their fans (or not) and both have the PH29 roof line that many don't like. They're also optioned quite similar except the NC car has the console shift and the 8-track player which are nice extras.

For Sale - 1970 Sport Fury all original (is this a formal top?)

Ohhh finally a trace of that car. .I wanted this one so badly ,but I just had the engine pulled out of mine and didn't know how much money I had to spend at that point, so I passed on it. ..

Could you please post some pictures of that orange beauty, maybe with fendertag?!?!

Thank you, and congratulations to that car

I haven't picked the car up yet so I don't really have any good "beauty shots" at the moment.I'm planning on heading down in a couple weeks to grab it,hopefully the weather will finally co-operate and I can get some good road trip pics.
I do have a fender tag pic just to whet your appetite though. Some neat options on the car like bucket seats, tilt column with rim blow wheel, disc brakes, and A/C w/tinted glass. It's also coded for CA emissions so it must have been sold there when new.

Yeah I just saw on the news that in some spots of Canada there has been a new record for back to back days below freezing point :eek: not a good thing for our hobby

Two different ones; like belly buttons. There are innies and there are outies. See yellow marks on second picture showing the side quarter window difference too.
