230568 2007 left bucket.jpg For anyone interested, the blue car and the red car are the same car. I cant help but wonder, why you would go through the expense of doing a complete makeover and color change only to sell it off.

What's it worth?
1/2 - 2/3 the stated insurance value. The car has been at Moparfest the last couple years. The owner never stays for the whole show and was not too talkative. The car looks OK but if you're going for the stock look at least put in the correct console and paint it a factory colour. My .02.

That is fascinating. My Cutlass is red outside, black inside, and I have often thought about doing a color change because the combination is so common. But the idea of changing the interior color just seems totally beyond reason. It's one thing to change upholstery on the seats, but to do the door panels, armrests, dash, steering wheel et al just seems beyond the realm of rationality.

Even more interesting in this case is the choice of paint color and seat upholstery. I don't find either choice particularly attractive.

Dave, you're obviously familiar with this car. Can you share any more background?

I like it in red. Big expense to paint it and redo the entire interior. Good luck!

I have never seen the car in person, Fred could give you a better answer than what he did only because its so vague. I would say if the body is solid and all metal no higher than $8 thousand. It is originally a small block which I believe is still in there. It also originally had a bench seat.

The first time I saw photos of it was in 2005. It was for sale then. It was built for Canada, around April 2nd. The dash pad isnt original.....what else do you want to know. I am not sure if I know the selling price from the last owner, I'd have to dig out the file

The auction claims it a 318.

That was the only small block you could get in a 70 convertible.

Fred, what are the odds one of the experimental 360's was installed into a 70 ragtop?

Agreed. The body looked good but I didn't take a magnet to it so who knows . Owner stated it still had the 318. Just not a big fan of the colour scheme. As is usually the case when you fix up one of our cars the owner will take a bath selling it.

Has a Sold Sticker on it. Prices should be up in a few days.

I bet a flipper bought it. It'll be for sale on a lot at eighteen thousand. Someone not knowing what they bought

My shop redid that car. It was a cheese wagon....mud 2 to 3 inches deep on the quarters. We completely reskinned it....NOS quarters etc.Chassis was so so.Customer brought in a baby blue ball cap and asked us to paint the car to match. We did a custom interior ...not factory but still pretty nice. Owner had purchased the car at the Toronto car auction a couple of years before. He spent about 35K on it....sold it no reserve and lost large.I wanted to put rails in the back and rotiserrie it.....that would have been another 5 or 6 k but he didn't want to take it that far.Too bad.
