1970 Polara vert EV2 440 Public relations car

Okay guys need some input as I have a few questions. First

1. Will the fenders off a 1969 polara fit a 1970? I know the grilles are obviously different but did they change the fenders or any mounting points on it? As you can see in the pics the front drivers side fender is loaded with bondo at the bottom and I wanted to be able to swap in a new fender off my 69 polara I just bought as a parts car or at worst case if I can not find a good fender or use the one I have use the bottom section of the fenders as patch panels for the body shop.

Next question:

2. Has there been any threads on here that show a diagram of the front fenders mounting points and how best to get these things off. Being a B body and A body guy these fenders have ALOT more attachment points. I have been trying to get the fender off the hurst 300 parts car I have and I swear I have taken off every single bolt I can see and it still seems rock solid in the front!! These things seem to be mounted like the are structural!!
 
The leading edge of the fender (once the extension has been removed) appears to be completely different as well as the marker lights. The body line between the front and the wheel opening also appears to be completely different.

EV2 Polara Convertible

I am curious, do most think EV2 paint on these C body convertibles is too much of a high impact paint and, rather, belongs on a more sporty Road Runner or Charger than a C body, or do you think it is just fine on a C body too? I am wondering why the factory didn't make it a regular option rather than a special order on some of the C bodies? I have a 1970 300 in EV2 as well, but it needs restoration too. I am surprised at the wide disparity of reactions when some of my friends see the car - they either love it or hate the color on a C body, but like it on a B body?! And, do you think a C body convertible with EV2 is worth significantly more than a regular production color? Just wondering what people think? Thanks.

Nice car safe! I think the high impact colors on a C look great, if anything they are a refreshing change from the dull colors we are used to seeing, like brown, green, and other darker shades of various colors. Nice to see something bright.
 
I personally love Hi Impact colours on C-Bodies.
But I am also from the B-Body Muscle car corner. I am sure one of the reasons why I like them in Hi impact.
I can only guess that some "c-body only"-guys prefer them more like they used to be usually prefering the brown&green cars.

I do not believe that the Hi-Impact colours make a car worth more, but many do, perhaps due to the Galen Goviers of this world placing so much importance on pink cars. I furthermore think that within the Mopar hobby, the muscle car community look down on C bodies in general. There have been several "non-standard" coloured c bodies talked about on this site for sale that have gone nowhere. They would have been feature "barn finds" in some Mopar muscle car rag, but they still sit on the internet- even though they are in the 1 of 2 category that Mopar fans love to talk about.
So if you're expecting the same buzz anywhere but here about a Hi-impact coloured C body- I believe you're in for a disappointment.

As to why some love it or hate it...it could be that c bodies are overpowering to some folks in bright colours. Face it- a C body is a lot of sheetmetal and for some it may be "too much". Beyond novelty, the Hi-Impact colours do nothing for me on a C body. I never would have ordered one that way. I like the greens and browns/ golds of the 60s and 70s, so I'm lucky, I guess.
 
I don't really look at it as too much different than having a red one. Some people like red, some like orange. Citron Yella, Sublime, Panther Pink, purple? Those have no business on a C body IMO. Orange is sedate compared to those and I'm fine with it. With so few examples in orange I would think that they just may fetch a bit more on the market.

I'm assuming you probably got it off by now but I have a '71 Dodge body manual at my shop I could refer to but won't be back there today.
 
I Never felt it added more value except for the guy selling one. It does give you bragging rights or a great conversation.

I enjoy a hi impact color C body

I think this car would look absolutely amazing finished with the EV2 and white interior, white top and I do think if you set it beside an otherwise identical restored non high impact color, and most other high impact colors, car it would be more likely to sell, would sell quicker, and for those reasons and uniqueness would sell for a little more than a non EV2 or FE5 and white convert.

I personally think the Fusie body style wears the high impact colors well and those colors would reach a larger share of potential buyers than other colors although lime light, panther pink and the extremely bright citron yellow are not even appreciated by all B and E body guys. I personally loved Lime Light though ... many don't
 
I myself like the EV2 on a C body the other HIC colors not so much. I think an FC7 with a white interior and white top would be sharp! But now let's take a vote who would take:

EV2
A4
F8

I am torn between A4 and V2. I think I would take an A4 with a black gut and top but if the top and gut are white I would take V2. Might be that I see V2 SO much. All of my cars seem to be V2 and I did not even try to do that! It seems like this color was all over the place. Especially in the B body world!!
 
Some of the HIC's should probably be left off C bodies as there are just too much. It would be COOL as heck to own this one since it is not supposed to exist but it takes alot to like it. :yes_no:


I guess in a vert with the top down it would be a little less but wow that is still LOT to look at.

honestly: I am one of the guys who pay extra for HIC on C-bodys. So the sellers of these HIC cars are not alone, they have one buyer at least :))

Despite the HIC: I love blue and turquoise so these are my favorites, followed by the HIC cars (EV2, GY3,FY1 the other HIC are supposed to not exist on C-bodys even though there is the FM3 Fury above as well as a "999" coded FC7 coloured Fury III CV)

I like all 3 but considering this is an original EV2 I'd keep it that way. I must say if I ever paint my 68 Coronet it would be tough as I'd love to have it silver or turquoise instead of the original PP1 Red. It has a white interior and would stay that way though. The top is black
 
I wouldn't want HIC colors on a C-Body either....at least not on Formal's.
