Good 318 only 44000 miles needs frame work 1000 obo

Even with the frame work this looks like something worth checking out for someone. Worst case scenario, there's far more than $1000 worth of parts but I hope someone can save it.

That will wind up at Murray Parks place for 600 bucks. I wouldnt mind buying it but I dont need it or want it ....NOW , if that were a 71, Id be off from work tomorrow and heading west

Nice looking car.

You know that picture of the Challenger splitting in half? That's what this one's gonna look like.

Well the Titanic was a good looking ship too.

That rear quarter panel doesn't look too promising .

My next door neighbor as a kid had a Impala from the mid 60's. I remember they would detail it and the paint and interior was amazing. All original and then it was gone. I asked what happened and it cracked in half. I had a 68 BelAir 2 door with a 6 cylinder 3 speed on the column ,,cool car but was going to go work and saw it was sitting funny. The frame let go over night and and spit in 2 on the drivers side. I drove it to the junkyard.

fix the frame to be save enough and enjoy having a bad weather driver.
It ill drive with rusty quarters, too.

As long as you can get it to track straight, weld some stock to the frame and drive it until the wheels fall off....

It's not very hard to fix those quarters. As stated, I guess it just depends how bad the rust is underneath. If the frame is rotting away, that's probably not a good sign.

I have seen these cars with good bodies (floors, quarters) and terrible subframes. A '72 Polara sedan I looked at last year and the '73 I own. I frankly think the subframes used a poor-quality coating.

I don't believe that. Everyone I've seen repaired doesn't get the roll under right. The send them straight down. They realize how bad they got it wrong when they try to reinstall the wheel lip moldings

Agreed. Fuseys often get botched quarter repairs as described. They look absolutely horrid without the correct quarter lines. It can be done right...it just seems that few take the time to measure& test fit (with the wheel opening trim.

In 1972 mopar starting rubber isolators to connect the sub frames to the body on C bodies ... I have seen so many 72-73 C bodies with bad sub frames due to this ... It was done to isolate road noise but instead isolated many 72-73s to the boneyard and derbies instead ...
