Let's play the other way then.... you don't think it's a GT. What if it's not a Sport Fury but rather a Fury III?

Someone please call for tag information. ... The passionate Fury guys where are you?

Looks more like the remnants of side body moldings with the pointy ends still attached.
moldings on this would be one piece...that little white spot on fender would be the first decal lm thinkin....
k after checking a GT would start with GT so rules out a gt and the 23 starts with 23

actually looks like the leading edge of the 71 decal package
...sampleing may be right and what that white spot is is whats left of the molding?
bottom line something went down the side of that car for shure as you can see it

I think that car is a on a members avatar. Don't know who's tho.

At the sites inception we had a member named Rapidtransit Rick. He dropped off after about 800 posts and within the first year. This looks like his car

The white one with red rim in critters picture above was mine. in fact it's sitting behind my shop in the picture .

Regardless of what it is, it's a great start to a Fury resto or even a SFGT or S/23 replica. If it's not one of those two to begin with.
Bottom line. . . somebody please buy the damn car.

It's not a GT, it's not an S23, its not a Plymouth Fury III, it's a 383 powered Sport Fury.

I guess somebody finally called the guy to verify it's a PH23 not a PS23 ?

I am not sure what you are referring to but a if its a Sport Fury, Sport Fury S/23 or a Sport Fury GT they all have the same model code of PH23....I am not sure where you are coming up with PS23?

The S/23 and GT were options and would show up on the fender tag. A51 would be a S/23 and A52 would be a GT.

In 1971 the Sport Fury became its own model and would be a PP23....a regular Sport Fury would still be a PH23.

So in this case the first step would be to see if its a Sport Fury PH23...then see what engine code it had and finally see if the fender tag was intact and look for either the A51 or A52 code.

I am not Dave but a PP23 is a SFGT.
But in 1971 only.

In 1970 all Sport Fury carry the PH-VIN.
You need the fender tag or Broadcastsheet to look for S23 or GT option
