I haven't been here much, and just happened across this listing, and just happened across this thread a few minutes later. Quite a coincidence!

Car is now on ebay for $4000 BIN. IMHO that's a $1500 car based on the interior and being a roller. IMHO -- 1000-1250 for the car, 175 for the RH exh manifold and 75 for the driver manifold. That discbrake booster is unobtanium now, is rebuild of customer core only.

Classic example of a car that needs just 1 less major thing to make it worthwhile - either better interior, a running engine, or no trunk rust. But all 3 is a death-kiss for how much you'd spend vs what it would be worth. Yes, I know we can't look at them as investments, however we shouldn't go blindly in and get underwater -- because life *will* throw us curveballs.

Yes, I know that it's nearly rust-free, and that's worth a lot, I just think a better starting point could be found if a guy were patient. You'd easily put $4000 in this car getting it road-ready and it would be worth about $5000 max -- because it would still look like crap, have terrible interior and have a rusty trunk floor. And that dashpad is completely non-usable, so $500 min for a replacement? And look at that steering wheel, too!

But OTOH - it's an N-code 383 HP, and you don't see that often in the brown coupes, most are 383-2 barrels. Is it a Gran Coupe? Can't tell for the 71 seats in it.

OK, soapbox dismounted.
