Wot you didn't like the opinion they gave you over on the dark side?
I haven’t asked over there because this is where it worked so well for the guy that presumably was just looking for a valuation.

Ok, let me get this straight. In another thread, Henry posted the comment "May need to sell my '71 300", which turned into "is it for sale or isn't it for sale", which turned into a short grammar lesson which turned into "is Detmatt's convertible for sale or isn't Detmatt's convertible for sale", which ended where the '71 300 was sold but nobody knew until now who it sold to.

Everybody with me so far?

Abbott Costello's son, right?

Well mostly fins are cheap. But sometimes we go rly rly weird. Like 1 of 1 4d Plymouth Hemis etc...
I think price difference between Fin and Swe vs Ger/fra is, we can use old cars as they are and even modify alot of them. Ger has strick rules for old cars, must hav eoem wheels etc.. least what i have heard.
ATM this is cheapest Fuselage Mopar at Finland.... any1 here would pay that price for it? :D :D :D

I sure do wish I had my camera that one night in Stockholm back in June 1976 but it was night. A couple of us walked out of our hotel on a main drag in town and were greeted by a local cruise night of American cars. Some cars had American flags draped on the sides. We stopped to ask, and when the locals heard we were Americans, then all the questions started about cars.

My good friend, Lars is from Sweden. In the late 60's he had quite the empire as he is 10 years older than me. He owned apartment buildings, a couple of night clubs, a couple of sex clubs and a restaurant. He tells me he was the proud owner of a 1970 Mustang Mach 1 that he drove over Europe. Given the Swedish tax rate at the time his tax bill ended up being 110% of everything. What he says. Couldn't be paid so they put him in jail. He got the guards to let him park his Mustang inside the jail. Within months he ran the black market inside the jail as far as cigarettes and booze to both inmates and guards. Then they kicked him out.

Months later the authorities came after him again for taxes. This time he took off for Thailand and hid there for several years despite an Interpol warrant. He then made it over to Mexico in the later 70's and walked across the border at Tijuana without being stopped. Came to the Bay Area and managed to get hooked up with the German consulate and started importing gray market Mercedes. By 1985 he was now getting into his antique business of which he was very good and with excellent taste. I met him one night in an Chinese nightclub along with his Filipina girlfriend. I said you're the guy who lives across the street from me. That was 1989.

Still friends today. Kept him occupied the day his son was born with his girlfriend in 1990. Went on several antique trips to the Philippines with him and then on some my own for him. Looked and was many times mistake for Rod Stewart on his travels. Likes his Volvos and vodka. An excellent chef. Gave up smoking but has bad emphysema which means a three block walk is about it.
