Posting poor CS23T1C156616 for records. The rust under that vinyl top is something... but the rest of the metal seems in surprisingly good shape given the Swiss cheese that is now the top.

1971 Chrysler 300 Series | eBay

This car was parked on or around 2010 fully running. As far as I know the drivetrain is all original with the 440 engine & 727 transmission. This also includes a an extra fuel tank with minor pin size holes in one area of the top of the tank.

Ironically, it comes with an extra fuel tank that has rust holes in it. You know your car is rusty when the spare parts are rusted too.
Looks like making a 71 Chrysler convertible is in order here.

Anyone that remembers and can identify the above song (I believe I got the lyrics right) without Googling gets winner, winner, chicken dinner.

Wow crazy I bought this car probably around the time you posted it I haven’t had a lot of time to work on it but man that rust was a pain I had a donor so I just ended up cutting the roof off the donor and putting it on this car all that’s left is a bit of grinding but my garage is full and it’s been raining lately so haven’t had the time I did end up throwing a built 440 magnum in I found this post by taking my vin and searching it

That's a lotta rust!
Was the motor original to the car?
Care to post the trim tag for decoding?
I'm assuming this car had some cool options since you are saving it!

Can you post more photos of your repairs?
 
Haven’t done too much my work takes up most of my time but still undergoing repairs to the roof trying to blend in the welds that meet the body I did convert the trans to a manual 4spd since my 727 was junk replaced a 4 of my window motors and a couple tracks and made headlights and headlight doors operational. it came with the original engine but it was junk so I have plans to rebuilt and throw it back in but I had a built block so figured I throw that in and have some fun

Glad somethings getting done. I know how the work thing messes up every day of wrenching.

Am I the only guy to have noticed this?!?!?!?

When you get time, post some pics of that. Make sure to take a bunch, too, you may want them in the coming years.
As you may know, there were no 4-speed Fuseys, only 3-on-the-tree and then only with 318 or 383-2 barrel. (oh, and 6cyl cars)
So Fusey clutch pedals are rare as a worthwhile presidential candidate. Did you already have them, or you modified something to fit?

In this case of this car I got it running and driving not necessarily in the way I should have I bought a slave cylinder and a hydro hand brake I rotated the handbrake so it would work as a clutch pedal and attached to the floor with how the pan is the pedal is really far forward but is still drivable with made a bracket out of some angled metal pieces from ace hardware and attached the slave to so I could have a clutch disengagement. I am in no way a master fabricator but I got it to work and drive as for the floor pan it’s just cut and ripped up until I get to fabricating a tunnel
