BL1 originally with a v1T top. T7 interior.

That interior looks awesome! The paint looks really good also.
However, the stripe, well, not that good.

25k ? The motor needs a rear main seal. That is not what a 25K car should need done to it, if anything.

Also, I thought that the New Yorkers had squareish headlight surrounds and the newports had round headlight surrounds.
Can someone clear that up for me?

the grain of the seat material doesnt look like the factory HLT7 saddle tan leather .
im going to say the seats have been recovered in vinyl.....

Yes, definitely. Those seats have been covered in vinyl. They look awful. The headrests were taken off, and it looks like the mountings were left under the vinyl.

The seats most likely came out of the same car that supplied the grill assembly.

Those seat covers are modeled after '71 covers, but the material is wrong, the dye is wrong, and there is no bossing in the upper seat back. ('69 New Yorker leather seats resemble those of a '67 Imperial. Very elegant, and genuine leather.)

they are correct for 71

They are correct ’71 seats which have been reupholstered. The seat covers are not original: The seat back does not have the 2-part horizontal divide, the front seat top does not have the seams that go should be going over, the front seat headrest fittings can be seen bulging on top of the seat back, the rear seat bottom has the seams in wrong places…

Correct ’71 front vinyl seat: the seat back has headrests, and there are seams with piping going over the seat back:

So you can't believe everything you read? It's possible that the original seat foam has been well preserved by the 70's blotch pattern naugahyde. Look at the waves and misaligned seams! The original covers had extra foam sewn in to accentuate the three dimensional design features. These are flat and sewn by an amateur.

I believe this car is a perfect example of what not to do to a car. Regarding all aspects.

A good case study of what not to do to a C body...quite tragic
