I ended up with this car. The seller & I made a deal after the auction ended with no winner. He delivered it personally & I have not regretted the purchase since. Dan is a top notch vehicle restorer & built this car for himself, with no thought of re-sale, so he didnt spare any expense & its obvious when you get close. Ive never regretted buying this one of a kind 4 speed car in the slightest. I would like to drive it to & show it at the 2015 Carlisle, anybody willing to share a space?

Congrats cubes! Let's have an update soon

I may even share a space and all I'll need is space for a cooler, a lawn chair, and a ride to the show

Everyone is welcome to share our tents in the C body row..Your beauty will be classified as a modified C , sometimes they're not always together with the stock Cs.

Welcome to FCBO... Love that car... Hell, I wanted it before the mods

Congrats 500c.
I really love that car.
Outstanding!
RE: The painted bumpers.
Being a loop bumper, it actually pulls it off quite well. Even I might have done on this particular car. It's arguably period correct? Especially with a 4 speed? I bet the designers considered it.

All I plan to do is get a special air compressor so I can be cool in the summer. Dan capped & saved everything so it should be relatively easy to replace. He really went to a great deal of trouble with the bumpers: note there are no bolt caps showing. All welded & sanded flush. It would be a shame to delete that. I really love the 69-72 Polaras. They look good coming & going. Especially the tail panel being blacked out. His reasons for the build was simple: WHY didnt Dodge build a muscle car C-body Polara when Chrysler & Plymouth did it? Now I have potentially the ONLY 4sp 440 six pack 71 Polara in existence. That reminds me... there is too much power going to the rear end. I may add some leafs to the rear springs & remove the rubber bumpers they used on the big cars for easier hook ups. This car is so much fun to look at & drive!

Im serious about getting a spot there. Should I get one now? Are they still available? What do I need to do? MAN ole MAN classic cars are fun!

Carlisle registration starts sometime after the first of the year... Unless you are selling, you don't " get a space". You register for the show/ fun field and park in class
