Talked with the seller today, and texted quite a bit as I like '71 NYers and this one's interior is probably my favorite choice (H7A6). The good news is the seller is responsive and sent me high-def pics. The bad news is, with the info I got, I am not sure that I remain interested.

Here is the additional info I got to complement @Robert Saigh:

The car has AutoTemp II, PW/PS/PL, tilt/telescoping wheel with rimblow and cruise control.
--> The A/C does not work, but the rest of the system apparently does. The seller thinks it is charged and needs a compressor.
--> The power seats work, the power windows work but are slow, and the power locks don't work.
--> No word on whether the cruise control is still operational. The rimblow is cracked in two locations, so I suspect the horn does not work (did not ask).
--> This car originally came with an R13 radio, but it is missing. Yes, that means there is a big, unsightly gap in the dash.

The headliner and the rest of the interior look good to me, except for (i) a missing dome light cover and (ii) heavily scuffed B-pillar covers (I know there are no B pillars on a hardtop, but the base of where the pillar would go is what I am referring to). The scuffing seems inconsistent with the overall good shape of the interior: call me puzzled.

The seller says there is no rust, and that having put the car on a hoist it looks good. He could not take photos of the trunk floor because "the carpet in the trunk is glued."

Comment away!

Thanks! When I first saw this on CL I thought I got to go see this car especially the fact it's only 80 miles from me....Now, not so much! Of course that depends on the price so a guy can afford to make repairs/replace parts ect.

All of this is fixible, but some items will require more effort than others. Most problematic are the AutoTemp and Rimblow. AutoTemp can be repaired, but I recall easily converting a '70 NYer to manual AC (granted- this was back in 1980 when one could still easily find boneyard parts). My rimblow wheel is also cracked and non-functional (converted by me to a horn pad system when I bought the car). I was excited to learn that Classic Industries offers a new switch, thus I am going to rebuild my cracked wheel and restore the Rimblow. The R13 AM radio opening is approximately a single DIN size opening, thus current radios will fit. My car was fitted with a DIN radio when purchased. The original R21 AM/FM was in the trunk, and I plan to have it "upgraded" with an Aurora motherboard for USB/BT. I noted the "scuffing" in the CL photo. I believe it is due to the plastic decomposing and "chalking" with age. My car also suffered from this on the B pillar covers, though the rest of the interior plastic pieces are in excellent condition. This "plastic rot" is common on cars long exposed to sunlight, though puzzling to me as well on my car that has mostly been garaged it's entire life. My theory- Different interior pieces were supplied by different OEM vendors who may have mixed the molded plastic recipe to different standards. My fix was to scrape clean the "rotten" B covers and repaint them.
These and the other items you listed can be corrected, but it seems like the asking price is too rich in consideration of such.

What would posses someone to remove the radio? Maybe to repair and it was never returned.
