[h=2]1971 Plymouth Sport Fury 2 Door Hardtop Factory A/C - $1495 (Bozeman)[/h]
This very special 1971 Plymouth Sport Fury two door hardtop is painted a dark metallic brown outside with a brown combination cloth and vinyl interior. The front seat is special because it has a pair of bucket seat back rests with a fold down armrest between the back rests. This car is unusual because it has hidden headlamps which were not on the regular Fury. The vast majority of the large Plymouths this year were four door sedans.
This car has a 360 V8 that runs fairly well but probably needs an ignition tune up. This car came with no keys so I had a lock shop make them for me. That is why the lock is out of the trunk lid in some of these photos.
This car has an automatic transmission, power steering, power front disc brakes, an AM/FM radio, turn indicators on the tops of the front fenders and factory air conditioning but the compressor and condenser are missing.
This relatively scarce car has some rust behind both of the rear wheel openings but the rest of the body appears to be fine. The trunk floor is fine except for the edges where it attaches to the rear fenders. The last four photos show the floor under the back seat. I removed it to get the trunk lid open so I could remove the lock and have a key made for it.
I removed the lace on cover from the steering wheel and it is nearly perfect with no damage or cracks in it anywhere. This car originally had a black vinyl top but it was removed several years ago. I just bought a replacement for the missing front right wheel cover and it is now on this car. Most of the headliner has been removed as you can see in one of the later photos of this listing.
Relatively large, fancy and well optioned two door hardtops of this vintage are getting hard to find so here is your change to get a good one at a very fair price. Thanks a lot, Bob Woodburn - phone show contact info in Bozeman Montana
