Question is when? How soon? Is he storing it for you for a while?
He's storing it indoors but he's selling it to make some room & he wants it to go.

I'll just ship it. I definitely don't want to get any salt on it.

His name is Robin, goes by Rob.

So I guess you're close to Calgary?

Well, I found a shipper. $2,500 plus customs. Ouch

I guess it could be worse for an enclosed trailer to go halfway across the continent but that will put me over 8K by the time I pay the taxes, etc.

Great news, congrats! Can't wait to hear about it when you get it home.

Here's what I know so far:

You can hire an importer for $200 or so & they handle all the customs stuff. The trucking company has a guy that they use so it's real simple for me. They emailed some forms for me to fill out & they take it from there.

Since the car was built in the US, there's no duty & the inspections are apparently no big deal.

Since the car is more than 25 years old, there's no EPA or safety inspection required.

As far as I can tell, the import tax will be 1% of the purchase.

If thats the case Mark should start looking North and I missed out on a few. Thats all good to know.

Sounds pretty painless. That changes my opinion about cars north of the border a lot.

Stormer, As far as what body parts interchange between 72 and 73 Imps as far as I know everything is the same including fenders from a four door to a two door. The only difference being the grills and tail light lenses, Glennb49
