NOT MINE 1972 Chrysler new yorker Sedan 4D $1,500

Awesome! Thank you very much, so far this forum has been the best and most informative thing I’ve found to learn about the new mopar venture I’ve entered into.
Agreed. That's been my experience as well. The fact that it is searchable, and that sometimes 10-12 year old posts have the info that one is seeking, is a huge plus.

@72 New Yorker
There were many questions about your car in this thread.
We would like to hear the answers to those if you get a chance.
Are you going to start a thread on your car documenting it and it's progress?

I have to say that it looks stunning polished up!

So the car is original black it seems that most of the car is the original paint. The front passenger fender is definitely off another car with a light blue paint under what appears to be house paint brushed on… so I’m gonna have to repaint it. Passenger doors do appear to have been repainted at some point but polished up decent.
The rust I have seen isn’t bad any where. Got a couple pin holes on the crack where weather striping goes around the trunk, the vinyl top has been removed and just painted black for now. Carpet was trash but I have plans of putting new carpet in probably first as a major upgrade.
I’m looking for the air cleaner cover if anyone has or knows of one. None of the gauges work.. haven’t investigated yet. And the front windows work but the back ones don’t.
The heat and A/C work but the climate control unit in the dash doesn’t. So I have to open close the heater valve under the hood. And or plug or unplug tha compressor for AC. But they’re they’re and do work manually.

To get the correct 80-20 loop, from a decent place, see @Big_John's recommendation here. It's for a 1970, but the same holds for all P/D/C fusies.
