1972 Dodge Monaco 2 Door Hardtop - $1,500

Not mine. Someone should take this for $1,500 before the derby guys get it. The ad reads:

"Hello, Selling my 72 Dodge Monaco 2 door hardtop. It has been stored inside until recently when i took the photo's, and now is back inside again. I haven't tried to get it running, i got it home and put it with my other projects. It does turn over freely by hand. I imagine it would need a carb kit and tune up, maybe check over the brakes and fuel system.

The rust is confined to the a spot on each side behind the rear wheels, and a spot on the passenger's side of the rear window, there there is a small hole near the corner, it appears to be the extent of the rust on the rear window. The trunk lid has a few pinholes in the pinch weld area, still opens and closes ok. Glass is good, has manual windows.


400 2 barrel engine is very clean, A/C compressor clutch still freely turns, may need a charge, everything is there. The rear axle is an 8-3/4", i don't believe it is a limited slip."

They are not going to derby this one. A friend of mine (living in US) just informed me he bought the car. I didn't even know he was interested...

I think he is going to get it running and driving and have fun with it (without demo derby fun, eh). In the worst case scenario the car will be shipped to Finland and I or someone like me will take care of it.

Anyway, this Monaco will be saved.
