Up for sale is a 1972 Dodge Monaco 400Cu" Engine Survivor.
Clean tile, insured and driven on weekends. 64K original miles
-Has had the brakes done, new steering box, new shocks (4) Comes with a new set of air shocks too.
-Also comes with original hub caps
-All engine gaskets were replaced. Automatic on the stick.

And another triple-gold (GY9 Dark / Tawny Gold in this case) 1972 C-body for sale. Wonder if the original wheels are included with the original hubcaps, that’d cut the acquisition cost by $500 (assuming the buyer resells the current wheels/tires).

This car took a bit of a beating over the last 5 years. Maybe it was stored outside? That vinyl top used to be pretty nice looking. Also, it apparently has gone nowhere and kept it’s original 64k miles.

I'm afraid I'd call those "pimples under the vinyl top" tumors instead. Other than that I do like the car.

This is the result of being left outside w/ an old vinyl top. There is significant rust at both the c pillar left side and around the lower rear glass trim. Look also at the discoloring of the vinyl on the roof. I bet you will find rust there as well. Note the bubbling rust on thert rear Qt panel and rust stains present in trunk below the rear glass area above. This is a good buy, but at 3500 - 4000 due to necessary rust repairs.

It seems to me that the pimples/tumors are not all that widespread on the roof but the ones on the passenger side C pillar are pretty close to the window channel. I am pretty sure Wyatt has done many repairs of this nature and could give you good advice. If I liked the car a lot, my initial reaction is that I wouldn't let them prevent me from buying the car. But Wyatt's reaction would be what I would seek. It does imply that a lot of the interior pieces such as headliner, seat, maybe door panels and carpet would likely have to come out of the car to fix that rear C pillar area.

This is my car now just posted in c-body forum. The rust is not thorough - but boy - all four tires were shot- radiator clutch fan falling off, all fuel and tank vent lines were shot. Heater core was shut off. Carb has flat spot. Plugs wires cap rotor air filter trans mount battery & battery cable fuel filter rear brake hoses water pump belt ps belt u joint gear oil alternator belt....thing was a death trap. Owner stated that he would be comfortable driving it anywhere . Floats down the road reeeeeeal nice now

I plan to bring Buttercup, my 1972 NYB, if I manage to make it to Carlisle this year. Would be cool to park the two cars next to one another -- not many '72 C-bodies at Carlisle.
