Hello everyone. My first post here. I just bought this 1972 Polara. 360. Automatic. A/C. New dual exhaust. Body is straight without any rust that I can see. Glass is all good. Runs and drives great. I need to install a new fuel tank which I have already purchased.

Here's the problem... The interior is not good. It's green in color, which I don't mind. I need almost everything. Here is my immediate wish list.

1. Seats. They are bench style. Any green seat that fits is fine with me. Having these ones recovered is really expensive and I figure I might get lucky and find some good used ones that I can install myself.

2. Dash. I have to pull the dash to deal with some other issues. Might as well put a good dash in while I'm at it.

3. Just about everything else. For some reason the door panels are fine, but the arm rests and handles are bad. The carpet might be okay. There are no holes in it. It's really dirty. The headliner is really bad.

Maybe I should rip it all out and install a roll bar and racing seats? Go all black? I'm open to anything. I just want to drive it.

Good looking car, welcome to the site from the Motor City!

Pictures, inside, outside, under the hood, options......... its part of the introductory process

I will do that as soon as I get at chance. Work has me pinned down right now.

I found a back seat that is in perfect condition. My upholstery guy says that he can take some of the vinyl from the old back seat and use it to fix the drivers seat so it matches. Now all I need are some arm rests and a headliner. I would like to find a good dash, but I can always have this one covered.

Your upholstery guy can cover the whole front seat with material that is available and have it look factory... No one ever questioned the originality of the seats I had done, they were that nicely done 118263 2009 front seat 2.jpg
