I am selling a 73 Imperial as shown in the pictures. Some parts no longer with the car: Engine, transmission, radiator, electronic distributor, brake booster & master cylinder, servo for climate control. Tires are like brand new I have two sets of tires and wheels if someone wants to buy them separate. As you can see the car was in VERY good condition until it got in the accident on the left front. I would prefer not to part out the car I would prefer to sell it whole. All body panels are in very nice shape except left fender and bumper extension. Interior is in VERY good shape with some very minor fading but no rips at all. Passenger seat is a recliner. Dash & dash pad are mint. Still has the cardboard side panel covers in the trunk. Asking $1500 or best offer. If you made me an offer I cannot refuse I would sell it with the original 440/727 in place it has not YET been removed but will be coming out on 9/19/14 unless it sells prior. I do not have room to store it long term if it does not sell quickly it will go to Mopar City in Oregon, IL

here is a link to the car https://flickr.com/photos/127759132@N05/sets/72157647611897515

Since Mopar City is a salvage yard, it seems a shame to not just replace the front bumper and fender. Unless there is more damage I am not seeing? Seems to be in nice condition otherwise and the colors are really nice to my eyes. Does it have one of those Performance Analysis autotemp servos with the aluminum bodies? Have you really removed the parts you mention at the beginning of the listing? Why not provide some contact information with your post?

I thought I wasn't supposed to post contact info in the post. If I can let me know otherwise PM me here and I will be checking daily. The brake master and booster and the climate control servo are gone the previous owner had another Imperial he wanted to keep them for as they were both just recently rebuilt. If the link stopped working try here : https://www.flickr.com/photos/127759132@N05/ I am new to flickr

You are correct - keep forgetting about that requirement............ Not sure why it is that way?

think it is no major deal here.
Just on FBBO they are sharp on any kind of rule

Not listing personal contact info is really for your own protection and saves you from a lot of spam. Bots scan forums like this constantly for stuff like email addresses and such.

The PM feature on these sites works real well... and you can exchange phone numbers etc there. The system works as designed.

Oh... and someone needs to buy this car. Looks like a great deal to me.

If you want a Fusie 4 dr. Imp, it's worth inquiring I'd say.

I did call just to understand what he was offering. Basically the auto temp servo, distributor, brake booster/master cylinder and a couple other parts have been sold off the car. But the engine/trans still in there. He said he needs $4500 for the car the way it is with the parts missing but the engine/trans still in there. Or he would take another engine/trans in trade for keeping the current eng/trans in there. Kind of a messy situation to deal with overall, and it will most likely go to Mopar City the way he has done things, unfortunately.

Mo-Par City isn't going to come close to giving him 1/2 that.

That is what I was trying to understand as we were talking about his options. None of it made sense to me. Really a shame............................

OK here is the response I gave to Steve the other day:
If the car was wrecked worse or a rust bucket I wouldn't think twice about splitting it up. I am so on the fence about fixing this car but it IS a four door so how much Value is there really? The engine and trans swap are going into a 66 charger that now is a 318/904 so it is going to a good home! When I say an offer would have to be on the table for me to sell it whole would have to be a complete 440& 727 that is gone through and rebuilt or LOW miles like this one and cash on top. I look at it as a rebuilt stock 727 is ball park $1500 and a good running low mileage or rebuilt 440 from carb to oil pan with the electronic ignition distributor is probably worth the same $1500. so to me the engine and trans would cost me almost $3k to get something in equal condition. Bottom line is I think the shell is still worth $1500 as it sits someone could part it out and get probably double that based n the condition of the parts. so an offer I cannot refuse would be $4500 to take it as is. I found 3 different fenders from $150-$300 and the bumper extension $150 it wouldn't take much to put it back together but I really don't think anybody would want to pony up that kind of cash for it as is. If you think I am far off in my estimate of what its worth feel free to give me your opinion trust me I will not be offended at all. Parting it out I think these would all be fair prices based on the condition and the fact that these parts are not available anywhere in reproduction. Doors $100 each door panels $100 each Trunk lid $200 hood $200 RF fender $200 bumpers $200 each Seats $200 each Dash $200 power antennae & power trunk lid release $50 each Gas tank (been offered $200) grill & headlight doors $200 rotors $50 each calipers $50 each emblems $20 each Imperial letters on 1/4 panels $20 each side marker lights $20 each headliner & carpet $50 each That's about $3500 right there not counting all of the other stuff steering column radio cruise control wiring harness tires wheels fender skirts etc Want it? $900 for the shell (shell includes everything shown except engine, transmission, radiator, electronic ignition, radiator, power brake booster and master cylinder, the ac servo and the drive shaft) and I will hold it til the end of the month. Need longer? you can rent a storage container for $75 http://www.romeovillestorage.com/services.html and I will tow it there for $50 then you can pick it up whenever you want it.

Just an idea. .. If someone were to buy the car that cheap... and maybe slip a 5.7 hemi or something like that in it. They could have something very cool to drive with the advantages of the late model power plant.

I don't have the time and resources to tackle a project like that or I'd give it some serious thought.

Last call as the ship's about to set sail

Well your humble opinion is wrong:eek:ops:, the driveline is going into this 66 charger. A gentleman would apologize. I offered it up and nobody here is interested, no biggie there is interest coming from other places it is listed. Thought I would give the first shot here.

Well, I just want to say that it was not my intention to insult you if it came out that way to you, but to respectfully disagree with your perceptions of worth regarding Imperials these days in terms of the value of their parts. The reality that I see is that there are so many derby guys that have already parted these identical cars out so they could derby them, with tons of parts in their storage sheds that they now can't give away. There are very few people into these cars at all any more, and most that have Imperials have ones that are already in pretty nice shape. Restoring one of those vintage cars is a totally futile effort since you can buy nice ones for next to nothing compared to restoring one or even making a driver from a not so nice car to begin with. And I believe that a low compression, cast crank 440 has little value in most Mopar enthusiast's eyes since it is far from a performance motor and swills gas with no real output to impress. So to value it as much as you do is unrealistic to me at least. My view is that if you had left the car as it was and sold it for some $2500, you would have had the best outcome overall. But intelligent people can disagree and respectfully carry on. We are all the result of our experiences and perceptions, and they will always vary. I truly wish you all the best.
Sincerely,
Steve

I agree completely Steve! Very eloquently put!

I completely agree with you fellas too but the shame of it is that this guy is right in that there's rarely a cheaper way to pick up a nice running 440/727 combo than in an old Chrysler.
