I suspect a fast shiny repaint that contrasts the rather crappy vinyltop around the rear window plug and the worn out interior. The 29k mileage Claim from the first discussion is not found in this ad.
 
1973 Imperial: length: 235.3 in, width: 79.6 in, wheelbase: 127 in, shipping weight 4940 lbs, base curb weight: 5150 lbs. Wow! That is a big car. Wonder why they didn't add 4.7 inches and make it 20 feet long?
 
The extra length of the 73's was due to the mandatory 5mph bumper overriders that year.

Some remove them as they don't like the look. I've left mine on. Yes, its a big car, largest non limousine car available that year. I read from others how delightful they were to drive and discovered that for myself last month. I look forward to driving her again next November when i return to Wisconsin where she lives with a friend.

You've been actively looking for another for like over 6 months now... what the hell are you gonna do with another one? LOL
I guess you're no worse than me, I've got a couple, and can't say I blame you. There is no better riding luxury car than an Imperial!
I've got an XJ 12 Jaguar and as much fun as it is to drive, the ride is completely different. Remarkable in their own right, they are truly different. I love them both but for different reasons.
