I've finally got my baby home. She needs a lot of love and TLC but it will be done little by little on a shoe string budget with tons of questions asked along the way. The generally maligned 4 door with the heart of a gas thirsty lion. As you can see she was having some issues before she was parked some 8+ years ago. First on the list is to get her motor purring. I need to decide if I'm going to track down just spacers for the alternator or if I'm going to switch to an internally rectified unit and if I will have any issues running the non functioning a/c pully or if i need to switch the the non a/c pulley for now. Eventually she'll get a Sanden upgrade but that's of no importance right now.

Congrats, look forward to reading more!

Pull that washer bottle before you lean on it while under the hood and crack it. Looks like yours is all there, and pretty hard to find nowadays.

Congratulations! Sedan NYs were pretty rare...most were hardtops.

atleast the leaking heater core is in the trunk were it can't do any more damage to the floor pan

I'm curious about the back door and the transition in the paint colors. Is that normal or a sign of work having been done at some point?

I bought this one for a few pieces for my son's '73 NYB 4dr hardtop. The body appears to be better than what you are working with, but it has some bad rot in the front floor, where the K frame is attached. I would check that area closely before going in too deep.

if you are meaning the lighter color on the inside edge of the door thats normal, its to make interior appear the same when the door is closed. old age could be making the colors bleed/fade

Thanks for the tip on the floor i will get under it and check it out. I would hate to see it torn apart but I'm also starting to have HOA issues. So we'll see how it all plays out.
