Looks like it was stuck in the mud for long time. Parts missing under the hood.

Bullshit! Let's face it, it's gonna be parted. I could pick that apart and make money on it even with shipping, and I'd keep the washer bottle for myself

I couldn't... but I am "cantflip"... I seldom even think about a possible profit, and generally am happy at even.

That car has some good stuff left for sure, but I wouldn't even know where the prices would begin...

Powertrain and sheet metal looks decent in pictures.

Obviously the 440, trans and rear, bucket seats, tilt column, cruise control, dual mirrors, rear defogger, the disc brake set up, and all the incidentals like the wiper motor .....and you'd get a free washer bottle, if its any good

But turns upside down when you ship it...

@monaco75 ...wouldn't this solve a few parts issues?

It would... but already burning the candle at both ends. Both financially, and projects lol.

I agree it’s worth the price, even with shipping. Interior looks decent aside from the dash.

Seems a lot of work for a $9k washer bottle:poke:

I knew the timing was all wrong... but had to suck you into the discussion:D

While restoring Jezebelle I ran across a 69 300 convertible T&T car that had suffered a dash and under hood fire. Bought for $1500. Parted it for a total of $6500.00, (including scrapping the hulk), and used several parts and accessories on my restoration.

its about the fun , isnt it, MR parts car guy?

Took me 8 weeks to part the ‘73, and I didn’t have a motor, trans or dash harness to deal with. I did a little better than break even and still have parts I can’t move. But I did get a good water bottle out if the deal! Lesson learned I will never do that again.

It's easy or hard... depending on your setup and how you choose to approach this.

My approach is I want lots of stuff, but also want to help out those I can... I tend to look at stuff as if I can break even it's OK. My way is great way to not make money.

My stuff hoarding is because I sincerely believe this will get significantly more difficult to do in the future. I know I'm right, I don't know if we're talking 2 years or 10. There are other factors at play in how many other parts hoards for Formal pointy nosed beauties will surface and how low (or maybe high) will the demand get.

For now I'm saving what I can. If Formals take off, value wise, I'm a genius in that it will have been almost worthwhile financially. If not, it's worth it in my amusement.

Me and others have been saving stuff for 20 years and while not much more difficult to locate it has gotten more expensive BUT I still dont need any of it

Too bad someone doesn't want to restore. 1973 New Yorker coupes are fairly rare. Hope it gets saved.

And with your cars... I hope you never do...
