I'm too lazy to go find it without a link but 999 paint code and that info says it's pink.

Third time around on ebay and here.
If anyone can help me break down the build sheet I would greatly appreciate it.
I had about 20 back and forth emails with the lister last time around trying to explain a lot of things to him
He never heard a word of it. Each reply to me started with "But..." :BangHead:

And the Broderick Crawford angle? Makes sense since we already discussed how he did the voice overs :)poke:) for Chrysler...

The 999 paint code simply means the customer wanted a color that was not normally available for that model/year. Looks like a late '50s Chrysler Salmon to me. Very nice. Too orange-ey to be pink.

Correct, I think this car was painted Rallye red and that it's really weathered. I know of another rallye red 74 with runroof, but it had a black top. An excerpt from the WPC article on the 74-75 Imperial talks about it:

"As usual, the factory received a few requests for cars painted in “Special-Order” paint color; usually bright “Rallye Red” - as this was the only color in Chryslers 1974 rainbow of colors that was not offered on Imperial. Two such ears are known to exist Mr. Robert Harms of Coal City, IL. owns one that is a 4-Door Hardtop, while Mr. Al White of Denver, Colorado owns a Sun Roofed 2-Door Hardtop. Either white, black, or beige were the interior and roof choices with the Rallye Red paint. Word has it that another unusual colored Imperial was made for Mr. Willie Mays, the famous baseball player, and given to him upon retirement as a gift. It was said Mays’ home was painted a soft pastel pink and his driveway was tinted a soft pink to match, so naturally the Imperial given to him was said to be a special light pink with white roof and white leather trim."

Below is the best pic I had of the Rallye red/ black car also known to exist:

On Feb-07-14 at 19:34:04 PST, seller added the following information:Thank you to everyone that has helped me with information with the car. I have found out a lot about its history. This car was NOT owned by Frank Sinatra. This car was a special order for Broderick Crawford. He was in films like All the Kings Men, and Highway Patrol. Previous owner has the original bill of sale showing this. I will hopefully have that in the next week or two. Again thank you for everyone who helped me out decoding the car!!!

Q: Here is what the fender tag means: YM23: Imperial LeBaron Medium 2 Door Hardtop T4C: 1974 Jefferson Avenue, MI, USA 133377: Sequence number E85: 440 cid 4 barrel V8 350hp D34: Light Duty Automatic Transmission Special Order Exterior Color PLXW: Trim - Premium, Unknown, Black/White 000: Full Door Panels B09: Build Date: November 09 J00756: Order number V1W: Full Vinyl Top, White H53: Unknown R48: Power Antenna L35: Cornering Lamps L68: Auto Headlamp Dimmer M45: Unknown P31: Power Windows P42: Unknown N88: Auto Speed Control G63: Unknown V7W: Accent Stripes, White R32: Dual Rear Speakers M81: Front Bumper Guards Y39: Special Order N95: Emissions Control It is interesting because it is a special order paint car which never happened on Chryslers unless you were a celebrity. Is the undercarriage rusty? Feb-07-14
A: Thank you for your help!! Undercarriage is clean with no rust.

Is someone bidding on this and not paying her for it? It made reserve last time of $1500 I thought ?

The actual sell through rate of completed transactions on SOLD cars on ebay is about 5%.
The other 95% are deadbeat bidders, and shilled auctions.

On any car you had an eye on and it was "sold", go back a month later and see if there was feedback on the transaction. Most likely not.

Damn. I must be lucky then. I've sold 3 cars on there. 67 Lincoln, 66 Lincoln, 76 Chevy impala . All sold the 1st time every time . $4,000 cars too

You're a 5%-er.
Other than listing fees, ebay collects about 4,000 commissions of those listed.

Hi Commando...Did you buy the car?..I just called the selling dealer, and he said it's on it's way to Florida.Let me know if it's yours, and you find it doesn't work for you.....Thanks!...Jim

No, I didn't buy it. It was on my Watch List the 1/2 dozen(!) times it was listed. Each time it was listed it "sold" but a few weeks later, there it was again on ebay. Each time it was listed, any enthusiasm for the car, what little I had, dropped considerably.

Thanks-appreciate the info...Like the Broderick Crawford connection..I was a "Highway Patrol" fanatic...Thanks!...Jim

I called the seller. He said it was being shipped to Florida...I'll keep my eyes open for it on EBay-you never know. Thanks Commando
