Original "Doug Griffith" Chrysler/Plymouth vehicle, Baltimore, Md. 104,000 miles.
1976 Chrysler New Yorker, (2 door, with rear fender skirts). Black in color with a half vinyl top.
Black in color "Corinthian" leather interior. Tear in seam on side of driver's seat back.
All power accessories, (seats, windows, antenna, trunk release, head light doors.), am/fm cassette.
Engine, "Big Block" 440 c.i. w/4bl carb. "Mopar" accessory valve covers and more. True duals.
26 ½ gallon fuel tank.
Factory "Rally" wheels w/center caps and trim rings. Tires are black walls, fair condition.
All lights work, interior and exterior. . .. . .. . .. . .. . ...

22 ½ feet long, front to rear. . .. . .. . .. . .. . ..

Issues:

#1 - Drivers door power window motor acts up at times.
#2 -- Heat/AC. . .. . .plenty of heat, no ac. . .. . ..cool air through vents only.

Pictures can be made available upon request. It is a driver and I have it registered "Historic".

That is one big long coupe. That is as long as my Sprinter work van, which I bought in the longest wheelbase available. I like.

This is the one item I have to disagree with you. Here is a flash from the past of Ricardo Montalban talking of soft Corinthian leather.

What I meant was Chrysler never used the term Corinthian Leather in New Yorkers. Just Cordoba.

That commercial just popped in my head. I remember at the time I thought it was just a made up term as a sales gimmick, like Certs with retsyn.
 
Yes! No such thing as Corinthian leather. Just a name trade marked by Chrysler. And wasn't it actually plinyl IIRC?

Others things I've learned about these cars...

Midyear, Chrysler launched a LeBaron Crown Coupe, ostensibly celebrating the brand’s 50th anniversary, painted gold (with a gold interior of velour or leather) for the gold anniversary. Its main visual differences were the use of opera windows (for $527 extra), a trendy feature of the time, and the use of padded vinyl in the front of the roof, rather than the back. Roofwork for the vinyl was done by ASC (American Sun Roof Corporation).
Crown Coupe sales were hardly worth mentioning in 1974 — just 57 were made — but it would be relatively popular in 1975.

I've never seen an Imp with Gold leather seats......has anyone else???


Functionally, 1975s had platinum-tipped spark plugs said to last 50,000 miles; a 500 amp battery (up from 440); an electric rear defroster; a standard 2.7:1 axle ratio (the old 3.23 was optional); a catalytic converter; no starter interlock; and a new automatic height control (which raised the rear of the car under heavy loads), standard. The price and weight both shot up possibly as a result of the height control, and possibly also due to inaccurate weight estimates in 1974 (or 1975).

I never understood the reason for the articulated wiper arm up to 1978 on the driver's side until now....

Beyond the usual lists of features were items that explained the high cost of the car versus a loaded Chrysler, including articulated left windshield wiper arms. As the sixteen-inch blade neared the edge of the windshield, they pivoted to cover another four inches. The telescoping steering column would remain unusual for years.

These were the old seats out of my 1978 NYB. Do you think the upper part of the seat was vinyl.....it appeared and seemed to feel like leather?
