I purchased my Beast, drunk @ 4.30am off eBay, over 3 years ago now ! And with it being the ONLY example in OZ-STRAY-LEE-A (how we pronounce it), it turns heads everywhere I go ! Being a one Owner out of South Carolina, with 50k genuine miles, I just HAD to have it. She has never let me down, but oddly is now in need of a Steering "Rag Joint". There seems to be a few differences in types, so I am hoping a Member could direct me to the EXACT unit I need, as Postage is very expensive to South Australia. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. A couple of pics attatched for your enjoyment.
P.S. I've NEVER seen another "Triple Black" Brougham Coupe, even in a picture. Anyone know the numbers made etc. I've never looked for my build sheet either, but I fully assume it is there.
P.S.S. Anyone notice something unusual about my example ??? It has the Solid Rear Window and Half Roof Vinyl Deleted, and fitted an electric "Up & Down" rear window, plus Full Vinyl Roof, = Newport Style fitted !!! The Buyer said he felt Claustrophobic in the rear, so the Sales people & Chrysler came up with this result (how cooool is that), with Catalytic Converter Delete, and added split system, it MUST BE 1 of 1.

I've seen them both ways. I'm not a "formal" guy so I'm not familiar with what the standard quarter glass treatment was.

Fantastic car!
ive seen a few triples over the years but not recently and surely not that nice.
no clue on the window setup, either way,its an option change from factory to a normal 2 door car.
it is cool,but,
in other words,i dont think? it will turn the car into a million dollar set of wheels.
last one of those i sold was an all tan one, same thing.

would like to see the rear bumper pic with better lighting?
and thats a hellarious photographer you have as well ;)

That's actually the standard NY'er roof. It's just that the optional version was the most popular (by far).

That is a great looking car. I could imagine blasting through the outback, mad max on my tail, wearing out my rag joint from driving the wrong way...

Sorry don't have an answer in the part beyond the usual ebay. Try and order it while sober to prevent error.

As far as the correct rag joint, you should look for a parts manual and/or a service manual for your car. I checked mymopar.com but they don't have anything online for a 76 so you'll have to buy them.

Faxon Auto Literature does a nice job on reproductions and also offer originals. A quick check and I see they have the service manual on CD or original bound copies.

Welcome! Simply looks like a coupe ordered without the St. Regis package. I'd say it's pretty rare, most everyone I've seen had that package on them.
She's a real beauty, maybe get a pic of the fender tag? We go nuts for that kind of stuff.

Ahhh, I see ...... Simply no St Regis package ! Hey, ya cant even trust an Officer of the Law ! Still, I'm yet to see a Triple Black and WOW, do those Red interiors "POP" !!! Cheers, Big Jim - DownUnder

Ehh, he probably thought it was true. Although it was an option, hardtops were going out of style back then, so it seems like most (especially the NYer's) had the St. Regis opera window pkg.

Very nice car indeed! I like it without the St Regis package. Reminds me more of the Imperial on which it was based.

Even though Finyorker has a very sweet St. Regis, I prefer the standard vinyl top style over it, because nothing beats movable rear side windows.
