And this was October 30, this year.

Mt. Shasta is not on the east coast.

Neither is Yosemite.

This is one and a half hours from my daughter's home in Fresno.

There are more things to the West than just bad smog laws and traffic.

Only if you like the rain. Plus, when most people think of Oregon they are only thinking of the Coast. Most of Oregon, like Nevada, Utah, and Colorado, is desert. Lot of desert in California too, but all-in-all, more green.

Yes it is!! Overall, I think the east is prettier than the west because there are no deserts in the east. But, then again, there are also no volcanoes like the west, and they are simply beautiful!

I've been in all 50 states and five provinces of Canada. Maine was the only state that looked in person the way it did in my mind's eye, and I left my heart in Alaska. But, the most beautiful of all places I've been in has to be British Columbia. Drop dead gorgeous!

For this and previous replies, especially the pics in Oct and Dec, you really suck! I wish I could drive all year round, but alas, my dumb *** has no intention of ever leaving this state because it's what i know. And besides, if I lived out west, I'd never be able to visit there! Love those slots by the way.

Not too sure that will qualify as a "budget ride" after you add up what it would take to make road worthy. The fender mount turn indicators might still be good for parts though....
