Summary- I normally don't like white, but it looks good when it's clean- too bad about the dent/ blemish on the driver fender.

That antenna and the clearance stickers would have to go. The "New Yorker script on the headlight door is a little wierd, but I could live with it on a driver.

I don't see any cracks in the steering wheel...Wow!

A Little rough around the edges, but seems to have some additional rust protection. Guess this plug was put in later for Ziebart application or the like.

If you chose cloth, the Bordello tufted pillow cloth seats were standard and the simple cloth seats were a no cost option.
Actually in 1977 those were the only cloth seats available on a New Yorker and the tufted pillow seats were only available in leather. That was the only year like this.

I think that the the battery thermo guard began in 1977, when the 500 AMP battery was introduced. Then, they were a very light beige. A battery insulator was used for many more years in many Chrysler products and was eventually replaced with a more flexible black plastic insulator which may still be used today.

Good point. Notice too how the rear seat belt is black and the front is red. Something was replaced here.

My '76 has it's original ThermoGuard cover. Was standard at least by '76.

The Battery Thermo guard was released as standard equipment regardless of engine on all Chryslers and full size & intermediate size Dodges/ Plymouths in 1975.

Although it appears black in the data book, they were a white plastic as in the pic in the add.

Talked to the owner of the car today. Seemed like he had a small car lot from the way it sounded. The blemish on the fender was from the previous owner who had a "Mack" truck letter on there with a $100 bill. The letter was taken off and that's what produced the blemish. Also, it was painted two years ago but, I do see some surface on the bottom of the doors in the one picture and the door jams look rough along with the overspray. I was told he bought the car from a local charity. But, either way it sounds like a decent car but, I also have my reservations.

That's what I thought. It might be an okay but, the seat belt and the overspray in the above posted picture leads me asking what's underneath the paint?
