Tackled an annoying little job on Thelma over the weekend. Her horn has never worked since I've become her caretaker and it started to become an issue for me as being voice-less in traffic kinda sucks. Sometimes you need to express yourself. I tracked the issue down to a bad column on the steering column. I think the little silver tab on the right in the picture is supposed to ground the steering wheel to the chassis via the dash frame. I think it's probably cracked underneath. Regardless, I built a little jumper and resolved this issue. Just putting this here for others to find if they have the same issue. I am again honking my heart out.

Actually the ground strap, (clip), has slipped off the break away post. Thanks for the tip.
