The two worse looking years for a Cordoba 78 and 79

I respectfully disagree.....the '80-83 look out of place and appear to be a after thought (after the '81-83 Imperials) My '80 Cordoba with a 318 non lean burn could never get above 14 m.p.g. plus it was a dog in acceleration.

We used to go to Watertown, SD on vacation. Guarantee nobody else here can claim that. :rolling:

I see all Cordoba.............. that is a gorgeous car
I'm with you on this. My uncle had a beautiful 79 (I think) that my cousin & I had a great time driving in high school. What a great car.

well, after actually reading this, my uncle's wasn't a 79 cuz it looked like the pics Dave posted but burgundy with t-tops & gorgeous burgundy leather.

They are 80 through 83

Obviously those are two different cars ... the T-bar Cordoba / Mirada is one of my favorite cars of all time. 1982 was the last year for the T and by then they had the car right, steering wheel, seats, ride, trim..... subtle differences but 1982 was the best.

001.jpgI used to own an 83' Mirada with the soft top, driven daily for seven years. 69' 318 with 340 duals, all the smog junk gone. It ran like a million bucks. I do miss it. Now I drive the 77'. 400 with 70' Roadrunner 383 carb, Intake, HP exhaust.

This conversion really Improves drivability. The lean burn system was and is a piece of junk. If a person doesn't want to completely change the top end, a simple Mopar electrionic ignition setup and a two barrel carb from a pre-73 will work fine. I drove my 78' magnum that way for about seven years, and it was very reliable. 16-18 across country MPG as well.
