1978 Chrysler Newport Windshield wiper linkage - how to fix?

I have a 1978 Chrysler Newport with a broken bushing in the windshield wiper mechanism. I was told by a FCBO member that members on here could instruct me how to get the wipers working again as replacement bushings are apparently not available for this year/model. The car has a two speed wiper system. Thanks in advance for the assistance and hoping I can get the wipers functional again.
