Totally agree Dave. President Trump just said the U.S. is the biggest provider of oil in the world 2 weeks ago and that we don't need foreign oil. When I was deployed in Iraq during the War we rarely maneuvered near any residential area but we did see gas prices there equivalent to $0.25 a gallon. After we kicked their asses twice....why aren't we paying $0.25 a gallon????
 
Federal, state and local taxes are why. And there is talk in this part the world to add another $.60 per gallon to all gas and oil products for a carbon offset.

We just need to build new refineries that can process our oil, they are designed for foreign (thicker?) oil and can't handle it, apparently.

We are going to get to pay 20¢/gallon more in tax if th governor gets his way. It's at $2.449 here.

Dave, I wonder how many batteries and electric motors it would take to move Our C bodies down the road. LOL
 
Well boys in the land of free universal health care and carbon taxes for all 93 Octane is $1.37/litte or $5.20 for a U.S. gallon! That’s $6.22 in Imperial Gallons ....and it’s not summer driving season yet.

Yes, also greedy SOBs I forget what gas tax is here(highest in the country, I believe) fuel tax here is .742 per gallon, Ohio is .28 and W Va. is .38. they keep borrowing money from the fuel and gas tax to fund things, probably not paying it back! The PA turnpike is so many billions in debt they will never be able to dig out (bankrupt if it was private, not a govt scam of kickback contracts and reasons for exotic vacations...uhmmm sorry, conferences on road construction). I really have to scratch my head and wonder why I still live here.
Yes I have planted seeds and watering often to convince my son he should move before his roots grow.

The last time I looked we're at $0.58/ gallon on gas. Regular went to $2.85 (87) today, 93 should be about $3.30, non ethanol 91 affixing $3.50.

So more $$ into the state's slush fund will reduce carbon? Gotta love (or hate) that thinking...
 
If the tax they want to add actually goes to help fix the roads in Minnesota, I'm all for it. If it stays below $3.00/gal I'm okay, I'll drive no matter the price, just maybe not as far away.
 
Same here....I'm driving no matter what happens to the gas prices.

I'm just amazed at the increase of fuel consumption that this new engine is drinking. All is good!

I just dodged a giant new pothole with the NYB. Jeez, this would be considered a new Wisconsin lake when filled with rain water. I'll call city hall They are usually pretty receptive on road hazards this bad.
